With all of the cancellations, postponements, and restrictions we are all facing, we can’t lose sight of the fact that we have the OGR Forum - a 24/7/365 Train Show (sorry, no Meets allowed ).
To the best of my knowledge, the Buy/Sell forum is still in full vim and vigor for those who love the thrill of the hunt. There are many how to clinics (such as MELGAR’s recent thread on his build of a warehouse for my layout or Alex M’s looks inside various engines), Railroad historical info (such as PUTNAM DIVISION’s current Fallen Flags thread), not to mention long running threads on The New Haven, D&H, and Southern RR. There is everything from pages of beautiful (enviable) scale work (Norm C. Jumps to mind) to the whimsical (check out Arnold C.’s numerous threads) to whatever you want to call Mitch M’s scrounged creations!!! And if you find yourself starved for ideas/inspiration (or if you are just going stir crazy), you can always review all 902 pages of the What Did You Do On Your Layout Today thread ).
Finally, if you are not already an OGR Digital Subscriber, I would highly recommend it. You get access to all 50 years of OGR Magazine along with many Backshop how-to videos.
So... what threads would you highly recommend???
Now, since I haven’t been able to run trains too much lately, I have to get around to sanitizing my track
