Unboxing some stuff to see what I am keeping and what is going. American Flyer prewar Green Diamond.
Had a balky manual reverse when I got it out, I bypassed that and it runs fine now.

Loco was availiable in several different names and different colours I have seen blue and green variants .. yours appears to be the generic unnamed blue loco ... I am trying to find a "Commonwealth of Australia " one they did

British Marx awaiting new rear wheels ...
showoff I said "A" streamliner a day
The wheels on your british loco look like regular marx 10 spoke.
Thats because British Marx for the most part used imported Marx electric motors from the USA ... bodywork, assembly and wagons etc were built fully in the UK at either their Dudley factory or Swansea in Wales when Dudley closed .
my point was I probably have some. do you have a pic of the other side of the motor, single reduction, double reduction?
@beardog49 Thanks for the kind thought .. I have already sourced and scored the wheels for it , just need to get my lazy arse into gear and fit them ....TMPNET! ( too many projects never enough time ! )
There is also the British Marx graveyard at Casa Fatmanos for a full engine transplant if required LOL !
Spare Lionel Clockwork project too !
Annnnd a Maurlyn steamliner project too ... needs a boiler front and straightening ... However with boiler front spares currently hiding underneath piles of chickens teeth and rocking horse poo , I dont like my chances LOL!
However getting back to the topic in hand ...
