I bought a new "Made in America" billboard at the LCCA booth at York and talked with some of the guy's at the booth. "Sorry I missed you Al" After bringing the billboard home I though it would be really nice If there was an insert for one of Lou's last projects like the tinplate Prospector set one of which I have on order. Why not even "Goliath" or another set that Lou had a hand in. I think it would be a nice tribute to Lou to have some of these wonderful pieces displayed in the new billboard on your layout! I would certainly be in for a set!

Chris,
The LCCA is planning to issue a Lou Caponi commemorative billboard frame and insert in the upcomming Lou Caponi Signature Coal set. Please go to our website www.lionelcollectors.org and the lates issue of our club publication The Lion Roars for additional informaton.
Thank you for your interest in honoring Lou.

Hi Chris,
I think that is a great idea, but you can also use LCCA billboard inserts that feature some of Lou's earlier projects. The first thing that came to mind was the LCCA New York Central Lake Shore Limited set. That would look cool in the new billboard holder.
By the way, I have fitted two of my billboards with Post War Lionel inserts and they look fine, so do some of the more recent LCCA product inserts, like the Heinz ketchup ad.

Hi Al. I was flipping threw the latest "The Lion Roars" and I did see the set and the color keyed billboard. Will it only be available with the set?

Hi Ed. Yes I have seen some of the other inserts and I think this would be just as cool!
