Accessory Lighting Question

I run both 3 rail and 2 rail trains in my layout.  With my 3 rails, I light numerous lighting accessories (bridge signals, block signals, crossing gates etc) using relays off the isolated rail.  In my 2 Rail layout, I use one MTH 45-1028 (infrared/ITAD) to activate some crossing lights.  I would like to light up some other signals but I can not score the MTH Itad anywhere yet.  I use the lionel S Guage/American Flyer Fast track.  What other options are out there to turn on lights in the 2 rail word with fast track?  is it only Infared?  Thanks for any info

I use IR train detectors from Azatrax. They utilize two individual sensors connected to a main board and the sensors can be mounted in several different ways.

I have O gauge Fastrack and mount the sensors sticking up at a slight inward angle on either side of the track from underneath the layout and it works flawlessly.

They have several different board configurations including one with variable timing/delay.

Check out the "Train Detectors" on their website and go to the "install" page for different variations on how to install the sensors.
