Since the new MTH catalog did not have much in the way of new tooling, how about signing on this thread in support of asking MTH to make this new loco.
If you're an Amtrak fan let your voice be heard and we'll see what happens.
The ACS-64 is the replacement engine for ALL the AEM-7's and HHP-8's in current use on the Northeast corridor. So in a few years, this will be a common sight--- I fully expect MTH or Lionel or perhaps Williams/Bachmann to produce this engine by 2017.l
It's been campaigned for on MTH's Facebook page already. Given that they could also make the eurosprinter with the same basic tooling, it would seem not too far fetched for them to make it. I'd like to see it done too, but given its euro roots and mth's recent shift towards euro models, an announcement in like with the European show schedule (Frankfurt is the big one IIRC) may be feasible for this as well. Who knows though given the current economic conditions...
