With all of these exciting new expensive trains available,  do you have a section of static powered track that the equipment just sits on for display but is powered so you can access some of the features without actually running them so as to keep it mimt out of box?

I've thought about doing this for the Lionel Niagara since I don't want to put wear on it but would love to see it in the yard on active display.

I’ve done this in the past, but have been warned off “static” engine displays by forum members.  I do still have passenger cars on powered sidings with on/off switches.  I like the look sometimes.  While I don’t have any MTH engines, members say the engine “clock” will add time on the engine while sitting with power.  Something to be aware of I guess.
