Ok, I have had this happen on two different engines that I have added to the active roster. They add and run just fine, it’s just the model number and cab number that’s strange.

Do the engine names show up normally on the DCS Remote? Could be the permanent name was never programmed into the board.
Remote shows the y’s only. It does not effect anything, just have to remember to associate that engine with the Y’s on the list when you want to activate it.
Are these MTH PS2 engines with batteries? If so, the weird addition may be an indication of a low battery in the engine. Charge the battery, delete the engines, and try again. If they come up the same, then GRJ is correct.

If it does persist, find someone with a dealer loader and they can fix that for you.
They are PS3, it’s only two engines that load that way. All the rest are fine. Must be something in the programming of the engine itself. I’ve even got two engines out of the box new that have the right cab # but wrong Road. It’s just these two are goofy.
Where did they come from? The y symbol can be seen in factory boards if you read the serial data information, but normally not in the engine name section. So, either the factory forgot to program the board serial data correctly somehow, or the board was replaced at some point. But again, normally a replaced board with an MTH provided factory board would show no information in the engine name if someone did not have the dealer program. Just the ID# and a blank. If these are the very latest releases, it is possible MTH was loading stuff before shipping and a mistake happen.
Having a dealer look at the serial data for all the entries, and then loading the correct name would resolve this. G
G, the first time this happen was on a new engine bought from a dealer. It was a GP40 out of the 2018 catalog. Then this one again was on a 2018 GP40 I bought second hand. The fact they both were from the same run makes me think it’s a factory thing.
