Adding sound to a Legacy powered B-unit, what to buy

You can put the powered B in a train on the legacy remote and only the prime mover sound will play, everything else will be from the lead unit. 

The best sound we have is our ABBA setup from Atlas which has all four units powered, with smoke and sound.  Getting down next to the rail when it hauls by is really something ...

I would call Hennings trains and talk with Gunnrunner John, he should know how to fix your issue. 

Crew talk should only come from the lead unit, so you should be fine with the other roadname E7 in the B-Unit.

Thanks everyone.  Just placed my order.  Now, as John mentioned in an earlier post, all I need is all the misc. stuff (connectors, wire) to install this.

What board and sound card did you buy?

These were the original parts I was going to order:

- 691RS5501A - RAILSOUNDS 5.5 / PRR E-7A #5848

- 691RSPRA00 - RAILSOUNDS POWER BOARD / UNIVERSAL

- 6108351536 - SPEAKER / 8 OHM 2.0W / 40MM ROUND / BABY FAT BOY

Lionel did not have the PRR E-7A Railsounds 5.5 module, so I got the C&O one.

I also bought a couple of different part numbers of the F3 pilot hoping that one of them will work on my lead E7.  Should look better than the E6 pilot Lionel put on these, but not sure yet on how to match the paint.
