I have tried several adhesives including Goop, Liquid Nails, RTV silicone, white glue, crazy glue, caulking, hot glue, 2-part epoxy, etc. The best of all I find is Duco Cement. Duco Cement is quick drying and the hold is superior especially with a small gluing area such as tiny feet.

I plan to populate a few passenger cars tonight after the kids go to bed. I have used Testors model glue with great success int he past.
I used rubber cement, holds good but very easy to remove.

Loctite power grab is perfect for the job. it is white with the consistency of tooth paste, grabs in seconds and dries clear.
Bobby,
Where do you get Duco Cement please?

"Detail Tack" (Item #84774 from Micro-Mark) works great for figures & details and allows them to be repositioned right-away or later. It is also easily removed. It is labeled as a water-based acrylic PSA. $7.95 for a 2 oz. bottle, but that is enough to position a lot of things. One of the most useful scenery materials that I have ever purchased.

I've had great success using "museum wax". Populated several passenger and subway cars over 8 years ago and they even survived a move. Also, no issues when removing an item, just a little residue that wipes up with a clean soft cloth.
Good luck
Hey don't laugh guys, it really works.

I too like the Duco for various projects. My local ACE hardware sells it.
This works well for me in this situation...

I use it to attach glazing (thin plastic) to windows, too. The key to its success is (following the directions) to allow the adhesive to dry to its clear state, losing all of its white color, before placing the item. That's when it achieves its high tack.
Lots of choices, eh what?

I too use the 'Scenic Accents' glue. It works very well, and is simple to remove without causing any damage.

+1. Best for permanent installations like inside passenger cars. I use Scenic Accents for populating the layout.
