Hi Everyone,

Has anyone encountered this on a new locomotive where the railing is detached from the engine (happened on both sides)? Could anyone from experience please let me know what is the best way to fix it. I pushed both in, but they eventually pop out. Was going to use something like crazy glue, but not sure if that's the best way. I'm thinking maybe pliers to put a slight bend to route them back in?

Please see attached. Thanks!

Giga: First thing I'd try is to bend the handrail stanchion that is closest to the cab back parallel with the walkway. That should help put some "positive" pressure on the end of the rail to keep it inside the cab.

If that doesn't work, you could always use just a dab of Walther's "Goo" brand cement on the inside of the hole to help rertain it. Goo stays pliable for a long time and you could eventually remove the railing if needed.

If you look close you can see where the railing has gotten bent inward in the Z section. Bend this back till it straightens out the last stanchion before the cab and the railing will then stay in place. This usually happens when someone either lifts or picks up the engine from the sides where the railings are.

Thanks  D&H and Nelson, I'm going to bend both and if necessary order the cement. I don't have photos of the rest of the railing that's intact, but I'm going to contact MTH to see if they can send a small bottle/tube of the yellow paint, as it scratched/gouged in a lot obvious spots. I thought of removing the railing entirely, but I do like the look of it.
