AEC tanker question

I came across a fellow at York on Thursday who was selling some Lionel AEC tankers in the usual colors - black, blue, etc but also had one in red and one in yellow. Claimed they were "uncataloged" items. I was unsure, so I stayed away. Were these made in red and yellow? They were not the area 51 yellow or the halloween/ transyvania red items. I should have checked the box numbers, but wasn't thinking quick enough. Anybody ever heard of these items?
