Has anyone encountered sparking when either a locomotive or steel wheeled cars (e.g. S-Helper) when passing through a Fastrack switch? I just have one switch that does this and none of the other six spark. The switches are wired to track power so I can operate them with my Cab-1. Suggestions? Thanks.

I use FasTrack for my postwar Flyer and never noticed anything like that. I do have one switch that likes to throw itself for some reason but it also took a few attempts to get enough properly working switches for my layout. Not knocking Lionel but it seems like Flyer track certainly has some quality control issues. My O gauge FasTrack has never given me that much trouble.

Thanks for your input guys. I’m just going to suck it up and replace the errant switch. I noticed that while the points move as they should, the part that looks like…excuse my ignorance…a pinball flipper doesn’t move when the switch is thrown. I don’t think that’s the cause of the sparking problem, but does indicate that perhaps the switch has failed. I’ll tear into it when the new switch arrives. Thanks again.
