Thanks for the photos, last time I was there that locomotive was pulling freight for a living

The White Pass was pretty darn good a couple of years ago with diseasels.

With the 73 working, that would probably have resulted in sensory overload.

Some friends of ours were talking about doing an Alaskan Cruise and we got all excited thinking it was the cruise-rail trip. Then they intimated they had no interest in the railroad.

Time to find new friends.

I have to get back to Alaska. When I was there the WP&Y had shut down operations because the Mining business had dried up and they hadn't caught on to the tourist business yet. All there was to see was some rolling stock and a closed up depot. I don't know where any of the engines were stored.
