Hello all,

I'm a French O scale model railroader.

I love the Alcos and I would like to have a S-1 or S-2 in this scale (in 2RL only please)

Do you know if it's possible to find one please. Is somebody have an idea about this model.

Many thanks for your answers and the future discussions about this tiny lovely locomotive.

Jack

I think there were 3 groups of imports over the years.    The first was by NJ Custom Brass - they did the S1, S2, S3, and S4 for sure.

I think Overland Models (Green Box?) imported at least some of the models if not the whole series.   I have seen OMI S4s for example.

The last group of imports that I remember was "The CarWorks".    They also did all 4 models I think.    I have seen Carworks models with both Blunt and ARA trucks.    Carworks also import Baldwin switchers and FM Roadswitchers.

There is a website http://www.brasstrains.com/brassguide that might list most of the models.   this site catalogues models as they get information, so it is not necessarily complete.    I think they also buy and sell models.

Thank you prrjim for the informations.

So 3 builders in brass.

What about the "plastic" models? Somebody knows please?

I've seen a Lionel S-2 photo but is this body matches the good dimensions for O scale please?

If "YES", the body and the Blunt bogie frames can be a good base to make my model.

But it's just an idea...
