All 20 Heritage units MU'd for the trip to NC with Penn Central leading. I won't be able to see them on their way, hope someone gets some shots and posts them.

Wow! That should be quite a sight for folks along the route!
That's completely and totally awesome. I love how the PC is in front with all the negativity directed at the symbol. How poignant. Man, I would love to stand next to all that horsepower and just feel it.
If one did that in O-gauge I believe you would have to parallel three 135 watt Power Houses linked to a TPC 400 to power the consist.
Awesome sight in real life I'm sure.

Yeah, more power! Hmmm.....
When will the engines actually be traveling to Spencer? If not already...
Hope SOMEBODY, SOMEWHERE along route will have their video camera rolling!!
I do believe someone in NS is having some choo choo fun these days.
That shot must have been taken in Linwood Yard. It sure would be neat to see them coming across the Yadkin River bridge. Sure wish would have thought of this before and stopped by by old neighbor who is an engineer in the yard.
those engines are already in linwood yard!! (all 20 heritage engines) our club had a meeting friday and one of our members (who happens to be a norfolk southern engineer who works out of the linwood yard!)took pictures of all of the heritage engines in the linwood yard. i don't know if he will be one of the engineers to take the engines to spencer.............roger

Walter -
You managed to suck the fun out of a nice thread . . .

And if anyone still wonders, "lashup" is one of those terms used by foamers to help real railroaders readily identify them.

Guess NS has a large account with Harbor Freight for rope for lashups!
