I use to have the above book and I think this book had the stories about the inventors at Lionel who designed the accessories etc., including smoke pills. Am I correct? If so I will go online and buy another copy. Thanks.

You are correct ! On a similar note, I lent my copy to someone in 1989. He never returned it so a few years ago, I purchased another.

There are two editions, the later one with an update that includes some of the MTH story.
The single book that, when first published, brought me back into O gauge almost overnight...literally!
I have the first edition. As others have said, it is a wonderful book. Even though I have several other books on Lionel Trains, All Aboard is my favorite. I highly recommend you purchase a copy, if you can find one.
