Does anyone know of a list of all the locomotives produced by Sunset / 3rd Rail? I'm specifically looking for ATSF and SP prototypes, but any info would help.

I know of no definitive list, but this website has a "brass guide" that you can search by road and/or importer and scale etc.
http://www.brasstrains.com/BrassGuide/
They do require you to register and give them a valid email address to use it. However, it is free to use for research. They also sell brass.
Might give you a good start
I know there were some made under just the Sunset name in 2 rail, but I mainly know of the ones under the 3rd Rail name.

To add to what nick said, the atsf 2-8-0 was a model of #1971 and the 2-10-4 was the 5011 class. Also, they have announced a mikado that atsf purchased from the PRR (883?) however the atsf only had three of these and only from 1945-47 IIRC. Still waiting for a true sf 2-8-2 and 2-6-2.
I'm not sure what happened in my first post, but the second ATSF 4-8-4 is supposed to say the 2900 class. I typed it on an iPad and I'm learning that it has a mind of its own at times.
audidriven,
The SP never had any 2-10-4 locomotives. The models that Sunset/3rd Rail produced where of the "Southern Pacific Class" 4-10-2, 3 cylinder locomotives.
My apologies group and thanks for correcting me Hot Water. You are correct and I knew that too as I actually just finished painting the trucks on my SP-2 to get rid of the brown/bronze color they came from the factory with, while my current project is an ERR upgrade to a SF 2-10-4. I think I'm juggling too much!
Take a look, the comparison between the 3rd Rail/Sunset 5011 Class 24.5K tender and the new 3rd Rail/Sunset 2900 Class 24.5K tender is interesting.
Unfortunately, I'm not one of the lucky ones that can jump on the 2900 class yet, but hopefully I will soon. For now I'll have to be content putzing with my 5011 a bit longer.
audidriven - Nothing to be disappointed in there, that is one heck of an engine! I hope you will consider posting your insight with regard to the conversion your doing. I would be interested.
There is only minor differences in the tenders. Having never been on top of a Santa Fe 24.5K tender, I don't know if one is more correct than the other. The differences would not be noticed when operating, only if you put them next to each other and carefully looked for differences.
My feeling about Sunset/3rd Rail engines is that so far with the Santa Fe engines that have been done by them, they have continued to improve on the finer details. That said, I've been fortunate enough to own at least one of each Santa Fe engine they've produced, one I picked up on ebay years after production. I still like the first one I purchased as much as the newest one I've purchased. They have done a great job especially considering the price charged.
As brasman posted, "All time great 2 rail 3rd Rail locos and cars." With regard to the 3 rail versions and fidelity to the prototype, perhaps the "best" would apply.
Marker, since this is a 2 rail forum I'll shoot you some photos and email you tomorrow.
Hey Marker, I tried emailing you at the address in your profile but it was kicked back. Can you please email me at nkordo@cpinternet.com. Thanks!
Thanks for the list! I've often wondered if I missed any 3rd Rail Brass ATSF and it is nice to find out that I'm 100% complete!
I have the Sunset 2-10-4. It is a brute! It is very heavily built, has nice detail in my opinion, and will pull anything I throw at it. I love it.
