Cold food? I just hope they remember my food this time.
Chuck, I will be attending along with my friend Bob (taycotrains). Please add us to the list. I'm looking forward to it.
They'll just bring his food cold this time.

Mmmmmmmmm, cold cerial and scrapple with ketchup on the side. Yummy.
Michael - I had forgotten that they had forgotten your order. John has some nerve complaining - at least he got food!
I remember Michael sitting there with an empty spot in front of him. Maybe he'll just get cold food this time...
I also remember Michael finally getting his food and it was nice and HOT!
Of course John, they cooked it after we were all finished eating!
Yeah, I guess I shouldn't complain too much since it was warm.

I will once again be doing a "drive-by" to say hello to the early birds.
Yeh Ted, you're probably getting a hot meal elsewhere!
The only hot breakfast I get is the Cream of Wheat I make myself before I leave the house! Sorry, no scrapple, John.
However, if you're really interested I work with a couple of "amateur" butchers who make their own. The production goes up with the road kill count. I believe they sell it in 1 and 5 pound tins.
Sounds yummy Ted. Will they be across the parking lot in the food mart?
We're about ready for Allentown Train Meet Associates' "Spring Thaw" OGR Forum Breakfast. Heck, we're ready for any thaw at all!!!
Forum members and guests are welcome to join us for this star-studded event. (Secret password is "Ed Boyle")
Extra added attraction: John Devlin will be waiting tables.
When: Saturday, February 21 beginning about 6:30 A.M.
Where: Hamilton Family Restaurant, Allentown, PA (just a few blocks from the Allentown Fairgrounds location of the meet)
GPS locator: 2027 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA 18104
Join us for food, fun and frivolity. Arrive at anytime. There is no 'beginning' of this event. We will have the prized "EARLY ADMISSION" tickets (same $7.00) which allow you into the Spring Thaw Meet one hour earlier than the general public.
Please post here if you 'intend' to join us. It is not a commitment, but it helps us order the number of place settings in our special secret room at the HamFam.

You'll be too busy waiting tables to worry about food across the parking lot!

What time on Saturday is the group photo by the ogr table? Guessing there will be an announcement made.
John Devlin,
Would that special apron be from Home Depot? Lol!
See you all on Saturday at the show.
Picture is taken at 11am Sat.They will announce it but you might not hear it.
Have a great time. Sorry to have to miss it, but my wife insists we go to Florida for 2 weeks. I spent last week in the Boston area. Now they REALLY have weather to complain about. 3+ feet of snow on the ground, and roofs starting to cave-in.
What's that saying about h_ll freezing over when a Philly team wins something? I guess G_d got confused.
Won't be there for breakfast, but if the weather is decent look forward to seeing you.
Gerry
Strawberry or blueberry foo foo pancakes this year, Chuck?
My usual raw steak is in my plan!
All those going to the Allentown show tomorrow and Sunday, be careful when traveling. Snow is forecast for some time tomorrow with accumulations of three to six inches, depending on the track of the storm. Snow may be lighter in the Lehigh Valley area, but with the cold temperatures, snow removal may be problematic. Rock salt doesn't work well in the single digits. On a positive note, the winds are supposed to die down later today, reducing the wind chill. Have a safe and enjoyable show. If you see anything I like, get it for me!

I'm going early in the morning, I'll be gone by noon as we also have our NPOG open house that day.
I just heard 4 to 6 starting overnight, waiting for the am on decision to go or not.

a REAL Man, I think the snow timing is going to affect plans to attend for many. we will see.
Come early on Saturday and you'll be fine! At least the weatherman says so...
So Ted, any word on the status of the parking lot. Will we need snow shoes or ice treads?
John
I was seriously considering the trip but with this weather and the distance I guess I will stay here in Roanoke.

John,
That is my biggest concern.

Parking lot update:
The Fairgrounds crew usually does a really good job. This time is no exception. There is a section south of the hall they have blocked off where they put the mess but the rest of it is pretty clear.
