I have just acquired a 1218 that is in fairly good condition, with the exception of the wiring. I am hoping someone can give me some guidance on how to rewire this Locomotive.
There was one wire going from the top of the field to one of the brushes. Another loose wire was at the headlight. And a third wire from the center roller connector with the other end loose.
Looking for any help or a wiring diagram.
I have added a photo of the chassis, I cleaned it up and polished it. The wire from the roller assembly, and the headlight housing have been replaced.
The insulation on the wire from the top of the field was completely dry rotted, so I removed it and replaced the insulation with a silicone insulation from the 22 gauge wire I use in train work.
