I am having an issue where my American Flyer 7011 is running slower and the pick-up rollers get very hot. Any ideas of what may be going on, and would this be an easy repair?
First off, if the rollers are getting hot, they could probably use some lubrication and perhaps some conductive oil to lower the resistance between the roller and the roller axle. The reason things get hot with power flowing through them is high resistance.

John,
which type or brand should I use, that's safe to use on tinplate trains?
