American Flyer Legacy Mikado for 2023?

Its been a long time (like never!) since Lionel product planning has called me about their future releases. I know nothing. Releasing a Light Mikado version with the same design and features would require minimal engineering. Even with a redesign I doubt there is enough room for a second smoke unit to support whistle steam. What I would like is for Lionel to use a half speed worm gear on the motor. I have these on my 2005/6/7 TMCC versions of these engines and they run better than the new Legacy releases of the light Pacific. The half speed worms are a standard AM replacement part repurposed to a Lionel product.

I am all for more new Legacy engine releases. If Lionel makes it I will buy it.

Yeah, most likely won't have whistle steam. Just dreaming.
I have the last tmcc C&O Mikado from 2007. They put horrible smoke units in these, mine stopped smoking a long time ago.

None of mine ever smoked right with the Seuthe smoke units. Two chuffs/rev were not so great either. Here is my C&O with an MTH fan driven smoke unit, cruise control, half speed worm and 4 chuffs/rev pulling a coal drag. I run these all the time, fantastic little steam engines.
