Am Stan 60' SF baggage car

60' Santa Fe fish belly baggage car.

With many specific manufacturer and car threads, I'll start one showing

cars built from American Standard kits.  Please feel free to share your

passenger and freight cars.

I have one which was built by Terry Nelms in Tennessee.  It was awarded

Second Place/ Passenger Division at The March Meet a few years ago.  Very

good for a three rail car entered in what is basically a two rail contest.

Four interior bulbs and the four items against the wall which appear to be

lockers are solid steel.  Four magnets keep the roof secure.

These kits probably have the best sides ever available short of an injected plastic model such as GGD.  Next- best were the molded copper sides Exacta did so long ago.

It is important to say that these fine kits were intended as two rail scale cars.  Nothing wrong with converting them, but do not be surprised that changing trucks and couplers does not disqualify you at an O Scale convention.  We ignore the trucks, couplers, and track, and admire the fine model work.  Very nice.
