Amtrak Blue

This has been driving me crazy.  I purchased the MTH AEM in the phase 3 paint scheme in 2016.  I love the engine and the paint scheme.  The cars that went with the set were ok but I saw they were coming with a stainless body cars which came out this year so I waited.  Got the stainless plated cars and I loved them but I discovered that the blue paint scheme on the cars didn’t match the blue on my engine.  They were a lighter version compared to my AEM.  I then discovered that the new AEM that MTH came out with is that lighter blue color.  Ok so I bought the older set, get them home, and see that they too while a shade darker are still a light blue.  Now I remember the Amfleet cars MTH came out with in the early 2000s were a dark blue but they don’t have all the nice features that the new ones have.  So are the Amfleet cars suppose to be that lighter blue? Or was the AEM never a dark blue?  I remember seeing the AEMs a darker blue back in the day but can’t remember what the cars colors were.  Not sure if this is prototypical.  As a hobbiest this really bothers me haha.  Any information would be helpful.  Thanks!
