I know williams has made an amtrak e60, does anyone ever think someone will make a scale version of it? Its one of my favorite electrics.

If I had to bet, I would say no. I was told by a reliable source that WILLIAMS had a hard time moving them, and I know I paid less than $100 for each that I have.

I'm not holding my breath seeing as MTH cataloged but never produced 3 Premier versions back in 2000- Amtrak, Virginian, and New Jersey Transit. I would buy a scale Amtrak E60 if MTH were to ever produce it.
Yeah, I like them too; I have the Williams shorty version with the Blomberg 3-axle
trucks (as on the E7), not correct (GE built the E60, not GM) but presentable.
I also have a spare body. These two things cry out for a slice/blend/extend/paint project. Pretty easy, as this stuff goes. The trucks will do for table-grade modeling (and side frames can be re-shaped/detailed a bit), the basic loco is solid and the body tooling is good, if heavy-handed. Add details to taste.
I reserved the MTH scale one, I seem to recall, but to no avail. I would do so again -
unless I build mine first.
