I was heading into New York yesterday and saw this car sitting in the Sunnyside yard.
Anyone know what they do with it? Is it for the Amtrak police or is it just a special car? I couldn't get my phone out fast enough so I found this photo on line.

Not Amtrak, it is a privately owned car.

ex Illinois Central Office Car 3 built in 1917, Pullman lot #4466. Renumbered to #8 in 1940. typical Illinois Central semi modernized business car.

Pullman lot #4466. Renumbered to #8 in 1940. Assigned to C. H. Mottier and J. M. Trissal in 1950's and 60's. Currently privately owned and marked Sheriff Railcar and Cripple Creek.
