As many of you know, Korber Models was acquired by Liz and Steve Nelson of MrMuffin'sTrains in Atlanta, Indiana a couple of years ago. The brand continues to flourish and we still make and ship a lot of kits.

Here, I wanted to share a few things:

  • For you HO guys, we have most of the HO kits in production.
  • Korber Models also owns the former Pecos River Brass line of building kits
  • When we purchased the product line, we received the HO and O Gauge kits. The G Gauge kits were purchased by Entertainment Junction in Cincinnati.
  • After we added Korber, we also entered a contract with OGR Publishing to take over kit production of Ameri-towne building kits; customer service for OGR Magazine and their products
  • OGR discontinued selling their layout wire products, so we added those as well.
  • We offer our kits directly via our website - korbermodels.com or mrmuffinstrains.com and on eBay.

Rather than just add the 2000 or so of you that have been Korber customers to MrMuffin'sTrains email newsletter, I thought I would post this invitation to subscribe.

MrMuffin'sTrains is principally an O Gauge dealer selling products from MTH, Lionel and Atlas O, among others. In addition to housing our retail shop, Korber and Ameri-towne, we have a large public display O Gauge layout and collection here in Atlanta, Indiana and The Choo Choo Cafe where we feed our guests every weekend.

The layout is approximately 60' by 40' and we are in the process of extending it to include another two smaller layouts. We are open to the public and run trains on Saturdays, 10-3 or by appointment. Traveling through Indianapolis, come visit.

Here's a link to the video we published this week.

Like you, I use Korber Models as part of the scenery.

We publish a newsletter once or twice a week that includes recent O Gauge product arrivals; some sale items; and often, a video from our layout. We also have over 100 videos out on a YouTube channel - just search for MrMuffin'sTrains.

If you'd like to receive our MrMuffin'sTrains email newsletter, you can sign up here.

We are very interested in seeing photographs of Korber buildings that you have assembled and are displaying on your layout.  If you're willing to share these, we would love to see them, and assume if you send them, we can publish them for others to enjoy in our newsletters and website. Just email them to me at steve@korbermodels.com.

Thanks you for sharing this wonderful hobby with us.

Oh - why not? As a reward for reading all of this,
please use discount code "Korber20" at check out
for a 20% off your Korber purchases on our website
now through 11:30pm Tuesday.
Thanks and happy modeling!

Agree. Before I got into real craftsman and scratch building many of my early structures were Korber. Lots of satisfaction in building those even though at that time, way before the line was significantly improved with way better materials, some (like the 8-stall roundhouse) were quite a challenge. But, they’ve all survived and sit proudly on my layout. Nice to see the company is going strong with even better products and designs.
