Dear Alan,

Congratulations! Welcome Angela your art is super duper. I welcome you to the OGR Forum as do many of us here! Your art speaks volumes about you, thank you for capturing Christmas in the way that you have done! Although, I am now 56, it makes the little boy in me reawaken the creative way you capture the Christmas store layouts! Thank you, thank you!

I've known Angela for a good many years, dating back to my time with Greenberg Publishing when we, like Angela, had a presence in the dark, damp, and crowded confines of the Yellow Hall at York.

She is definitely the dean of toy train artists, and her work is in the possession of a veritable who's-who of notables in the hobby.  Best of all, Angela is just a wonderful and fun person to talk with...as personable as she is talented.

Great to have her aboard here!  One of these days I'm going to commission her to do a painting of my beloved postwar-era 520 Boxcab.

About seven years ago I gave to my now-deceased father a framed print of Angela's work. It's the painting of a boy sitting in bed reading the 1957 Lionel catalog. I thanked him for my first train set that year (the trusty 2037 freight set which I still run) and told him nothing makes me feel as good about growing up in our home than that scene. He welled up, thanked me, then said 'that girl is good!' He was right.

Alan,

They are there, Eddie.  If you're not seeing them, it's likely due to your software combo.  I don't know much about Windows 8 or Chrome, preferring instead to stay with the tried-and-true.

In any case, I can assure you the banner ads--including Angela's--are there for the vast majority of PC and Mac users (I use both).

Well, there's something like 15 of them up there, Eddie.  If you're not seeing them, you likely need a new computer/new software/new ISP.    Try a Mac next time around!

Seriously, though, the banners are there, and if you're not seeing them you really need to find out why.  Send an e-mail to Rich to see if he can help.

I like a lot of Angelas work, some not so much but that's more of  the print striking a certain chord with me and not her talent. The one I've always really liked was "Window Wishing":

My wife got me me one the first Christmas we were married. She had it framed and it has been hanging in my home office/computer room ever since. If I ever get around to uncrappying my basement layout room it will be hung in there.
