Chemwiz, Todd & Jim,
Welcome!
Hi Barry:
I live on the left coast so there is no way I can attend. However, please put in a request to have MTH re-install the sound file upload function in their next Loader program. Thank you very much.
Chuck
Hi Barry,
If you add me to the list I promise to show up earlier this time.
Looks like Ted is going to have to stay home this time, but I'm bring one of my crew, David Hazelton. This will be David's first York.
Chjuck,
That one's already on the list - thanks!
Dave,
I'm sorry to hear Ted won't be attending, however, it will will good to see a new face, David's, at the meeting.
Oh, you're welcome, as well!
Dave, please send my regards to Ted. He is one smart man and I always come away with some good information after talking to him.
Barry,
Iplan to attend.
Thanks,
David
David,
We'll be expecting you!
Barry, is there still room for myself another member of the NJ HiRailers to attend?
Bobby,
Absolutely!
We will be there for the dinner and the up-grade for my DCS thanks
Jay,
When you say "we", does that mean someone else will be with you?
Yes Barry my other and myself this trip.
Jay,
Great!
*** NEWS FLASH - WE'RE HAVING A SPECIAL PRESENTATION YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS! ***
Aaaaaaaaarrrrrggh - the suspense is killing me already!
Come on Barry you have to at least give us a hint...
Sam,
Come on Barry you have to at least give us a hint...
LOL!
Barry, you are such a tease!
Dave,
Who, me?
Barry, if you haven't sent the list of questions off to MTH R&D, here's a couple to add to the list regarding the troubles of resetting the DCS ID address.
1. Could future releases of the DCS Remote Commander include a factory reset command that sets any PS2/3 engine on the track back to the factory default address? If possible, perhaps such a command could be triggered by simultaneously pressing two or more buttons, such as DIR and PFA.
2. Could future PS3 engines (or existing PS3 engines through a software upgrade) add a new bell/whistle combination, such as 1 whistle + 6 bells, that would reset the DCS address to factory default in conventional mode?
Thanks,
Dave,
The questions went to R&D early this morning. However, they're good questions and I encourage you to send them to R&D.
I would be pleased to attend. Please put me down for the $10.00 plate. Also I have a question about the remote. Is there a way to tell, at the push of the direction button, just what direction the train will move in ? Some arrow indication or something would be a great help.
Welcome!
The remote does not and cannot be made to display direction of travel. However, I expect that this will be a feature of the next generation of DCS, currently in the planning stages at MTH.
Further, this feature is available using Dave Hikel's PC-based system with smartphone/tablet remotes,.
Barry,
Add one more to the list of attendees. I always enjoy the meeting. Thanks.
Welcome aboard!
Barry.
Thanks for hosting this along with Marty and I will be attending.
It's my first DCS User Group Meeting and my 2nd York! I'm excited. I'm also going to participate in the upgrade of TIUs and remotes to DCS 4.20 since I'm very new to DCS! Yes, I have your book!
Thank you, Terry Wildermuth
Terry,
Thank you for purchasing The DCS O Gauge Companion and welcome to our meeting!
Barry, you are such a tease!
That's his feminine side.
Gerry
... and that's Gerry's back side.
Have fun guys! I keep saying this but I hope to be able to come next time but we are swamped at work. Can't get away until Thursday. looking forward to a full report.
Marty,
We'd miss you more if it weren't for the plugs for Lionel in your post!
See you Thursday at Friday's!
Brother Barry!
Marty Elbeck pointed out to me that I had signed up for the DCS Dinner on the wrong thread yesterday, it was for the last one, the 14th DCS meeting! Search engines are a great tool, but I bit on the first thread that showed up when I searched under "DCS dinner"!
Thanks Marty, for heading me in the right direction. I'm looking forward to seeing you too!
So, please put me down for 2 seats at this one. Looking forward to seeing you. Missed October's York and it seems like I haven't seen you and my other train maniac buddies for years.
YorkBoundBear (and entourage)
Bdear,
I already have you covered from your post on te previous meeting's thread. I'm looking forward to seeing you again!
Hi Barry. Will the guy's from MTH be bringing the new catalogs? I understand the regular catalog won't be ready for York but the S gauge and tinplate one will. I need something to read back at the hotel! Thanks Barry.
Chris,
My understanding is that they'll be bringing the S gauge and Tinplate catalogs.
Jeffrey Steinbacher of J.D.S. LTD LLC will attend. time and schedule permitting.
