servoguy,

All of the lubricants are proudly developed, made, tested, and packaged right here in the USA with the highest standards and quality control and have been since 1962. Test samples of original base lubricants are still pliable after 52 years. The grease is PAO (synthetic PTFE)and is much more pliable than lithium, so it is engineered to last with no gumming or hardening. Also plastic compatible, water resistant, and will cut friction by 50% to increase lubricity, it is made to outlast and out-perform other lubes on the market. If you or your trains are around after 40 years in the closest, please get in touch with us.

"World's Finest Smoke Fluid"...and now featuring

the "World's Finest Model Train Lubricants!"

I have been using Excelle Lubricants (XL) for some years now, since they are made right here in Illinois (11514 Smith Drive, Unit D, Huntley, IL 60142).  He also offers a special semi-fluid grease, "LUBE-IT SG2000" which I found works great on the side rods of all my steam locomotive models, i.e. it doesn't get slung off.

Every single one of their oils works VERY well, in my opinion. My local hobby shop also carries it.
