Where is Lionel on what Dave Olson indicated in a slide at the April 2018 LUG that he would like Lionel to produce: an IR sensor kit that people could buy to install in their existing equipment? This is what is needed, together with the forthcoming track sensors that are independent from a special and expensive piece of track (the IRV2 and additional sensors to connect to it), to give us the potential to integrate LCS into our layouts in a significant way.

Also, going forward, will Lionel do a better job of publicizing and explaining the concept and benefits of LCS? The catalog would be a good place to start. What was in Lionel's two 2018 catalogs was wholly inadequate.

The agenda is posted in the first post and questions sent to Lionel.  Not many asked.  The meeting is looking like it will be our shortest. Lionel representatives are not scheduled to be present.  Ryan said he'll try to stop in but has meetings with dealers.

I asked for any additional info on the new LCS modules so hopefully we'll have those to cover.  The basic review of Legacy will be just that.  An introduction type presentation.  For the true newbies or those wanting to get started. That will go hand in hand with Bob Phillips presentation covering his DVDs and Book.

A few other things to talk about and as always we'll promote the LCS partners and do upgrades.

I can honestly say that it looks to be that we are winding up the run of the meeting.  We'll be taking the next meetings year to year based on the interest.  Right now I plan on a fall 2019 meeting.  It has been hinted that there will be some new things to talk about.

I want to thank everyone who attended and sent questions in.  The meeting was attended by about 30 folks.  While we got through all the questions and discussed the DM Signal Booster and had Bob Phillips tell us about he's DVDs and Book, we did not get to the review Power Point.  I'm debating on holding that until next year.  I also have another thought that I will discuss with a few folks before I make an announcement.

I'd also like to thank the EDTCA for use of the room and especially these folks from Lionel, Dave Olson, Rudy Trubitt, and Dean Brasseur for their continued support.  These folks take the time to answer our questions, supply us with information, and keep me honest.  While Dave and Dean were missed they did make sure we had the questions covered!

Unfortunately we have already decided to go to once a year.  We just don't have enough material to cover to sustain 2 meetings.  The response to this past meeting in the form of questions was also substantially down.  Speaking with Dave Olson, he encouraged us to continue a once a year meetings as there will be some things to discuss throughout the year and into the fall meeting.
