Had a great time at the fall NMRA(CID division) show in Danville, Indiana today.  I had our new 3 rail group On the Spectrum 3 Railers loose lay Lionel layout running with my engines and rolling stock, many other layouts with HO, N, Z, G/gauge one in both live steam and electric(2 different clubs/groups).  Plenty of trains in 2 large rooms in all scales and dealers were making deals.  I had spied a pair of 2344 NYC F3's that were clean for $250, a bit more than what I brought with me.  I was back by that table about 3/4 thru the show and was discussing them with a friend and mentioned they were more than I had with me to spend.  He offered them to me for $185!  So they headed back to my table with me.  Didnt run at first, very gummed up with old grease(lots of it!) and both motor's communtators were fouled out.  A quickie service had it running like a champ, I will fully degrease the mess and redo it properly now that I am home.   They said around 975 thru the door or 1100 including the dealers and layout people.  Not bad for a partly sunny but cold day the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Hope everybody else that went to shows in your area had a great time.  I know I did.    Mike

Added the pics, had just enough energy to relay my track on my table.  That was the one and only show it was getting used for, now I can fasten it down and start cutting out streets from the grass surface.  I will tear down the powered 2344 as someone went hog wild with the grease years ago, which is now all gummy and putty like.  Should run even better once that is cleaned up and the driveline regreased.  The good news is there is zero burning at the ends of the slots in the communtator where the plastic edge likes to melt if they are run really hot while fouled out.  Also no clue if the horn works as of yet.   Hope everybody that went to shows today or tomorrow have a great time, and post up your buys!
