Stopped by Sidetrack on my way home from work to pick up Lionel's 6-37912 lighted Coaling Tower for $162 (list $179.99) when I noticed they also had several new in box 6-15554 PRR HW 3-car sets and several 6-39008 PRR HW 4-car sets. One thing I've learned about Sidetrack is if they have a lot of an older stock item, they discount the item pretty good. I went up to the cashier and ask about these two items.
The 3-car set listed for $369.99, the box was marked $310.70 and it rung up for $299. Final cost with the 20% discount on rolling stock going on this month was $239.20. I bought it.
The 4-car set was an older set without interiors and silhouettes in the window, so I wasn’t interested in it. It listed for $399.95, the box was marked $366.45 and it rung up for $209.00. End cost after the discount was $167.20. Great price if you don’t mind the silhouettes.
