i have 2 lionel #154 rr crossing signs. can i hook them up to a single 154c contactor?
i would make sense since i would want them to activate at the same time.
what deactivates the lites? is it timed?

You can hook up both signals to one 154C contactor.
The signals flash when the train wheels go over the contactor, completing the electrical circuit. After the train passes and no wheels are on the contactor, the lights stop flashing.
The faster the train runs, the quicker the flashing, and vice-versa.

Also be sure the insulating material is still under the blades on the contractor that rest on the top of the rail, or the lights will light continuously.
parallel meaning both individually and seperately wired to the contractor or one 154 to the other 154 and then to the contractor????
and thx to all!
Wiring in parallel in this case means to wire them both to the same contactor.

boy, am i behind in knowledge??
is there a train school i can attend???
You're at the best one around right here!
if the insulating material is missing from the 154c contactor is there something else that can be used in place of it?
Electrical tape. Place it on the contactor and then trim to shape.
thanks for the reply. i will try that.
