One of the conversions I have wanted to do for a while was the Corgi M35 deuce and a half.  The dual rear axle, and short body overhang front and rear typical of tactical vehicles to allow for steep angles of approach and departure were cause for concern.  Due to those concerns, this was more of a trial and error conversion than previous ones that I did.  With what I learned on this one, I hope to do another one in the future.  As I learn more about creating/modifying Digitrax sound projects, I hope to refine the custom sound file further.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

AGHRmatt - Not sure if I am ready to go that deep into Digitrax (yet), but the automated control and signaling features of their system does allow that possiblity.

Paul Kallus - Fond memories - like the dust sucked into the canvas covered cargo bed?

TexSpecial - Sent you an e-mail with a write up I did to give you more info on this system.

Lee Willis - Thanks!  This is the first sound vehicle with an "electronic flywheel".  The Digitrax version doesn't quite have the reserve of the TCS KA2 but it does the job.

suzukovich - Unfortunately, my former deuce (where most of these sounds came from) was not much of a "whistler".  When I get to the next deuce conversion, I will have to search the internet again or possibly on my yearly trip to the Iola Vintage Military Show, I may be able to capture those sounds.  I agree with you, it is a unique sound.

Thanks again!

Larry
