What could it be? Maybe back into HO or G scale?

I have not herd anything about Bachmann and/ or GGD for any new product announcements.

I am guilty of missing most of their presentation from the lobby(was roaming the displays and talking with some friends), but my ears perked up when I heard Jack mention Disney, so I went out front to see what was up.

Bachmann is doing a Ward Kimball Locomotive labeled for Grizzly Flats (His backyard full size railroad - Emma Nevada, I believe), along with some passenger cars to match it.

Unfortunately it's G scale/Garden Railroad sized.

I was not paying close enough attention to see if there were significant O gauge announcements, but I'm pretty sure this was the big news for them at the Museum.

The "Emma Nevada" in the booth sure was pretty.

I caught Mike Wolf's talk.  It was mostly about the dcs wifi system.  At least one of the O gague tracks in the museum will be running on this system so in the future you can take control of a train in the museum display with your cell phone.  this should provide a much more interactive experience for visitors!

Scott Mann of GGD does an outstanding job of getting the word out about his products throughout the year. Cannot see him tying himself down to a twice a year, small audience announcement.

I have no idea what may have been said at the TCA museum by Sunset / GGD (or if they even participated), but I did stop by their booth yesterday at York.  The GN Empire Builder has been announced, but prices are still TBA as manufacturing details continue to be negotiated.

Start saving those pennies in the piggy bank now though, because the aluminum cars will likely be $275-$300/each.  And the full-dome car is reportedly being done in brass, which is gonna push that price into the vacinity of $750 or so.   Beautiful stuff though.

Sunset / GGD usually participates in the OGR York meeting on Friday afternoon, so perhaps we'll hear about new items there.
