Any Forum members going to the Train Meet in Fredericksburg?

Oh, I know Cool Springs Rd.  I used to live 15 miles from there when I worked for Virginia Power in the late '70s to early '90s.  In fact my first apartment was right off Rt 218 near there.

I will be there Peter. Fredericksburg is the next burg south of me on the Jeff Davis.

Yes Peter it's about 6 hours one way.  I had to go to River City for train shows back then.  F'burg is a lot bigger than it was back in my time.  I hope there is a large turnout.  I would have liked to meet you, Gilly, and the gang.

I believe this is the "North Meets South" show....?

 

Assuming it is the same show, the National Capital Trackers will be set up.

Gary is so right!  I would like to see photos of the good train event that is now going on in Fredericksburg now since it has been 22 years since we moved back to our native Butler County, Pennsylvania.  

 

How about that!  I worked with a guy who lived in Ferry Farm not far from the entrance 20 to 30 years ago.  Small world!!

The show was pretty decent and looked like all the tables were sold out. I picked up a few things for the layout. I hope this combined show becomes an annual event......looks like the hall had plenty of room for expansion (the walls could be folded back to add another section).

 Peter...that sounds like fun, wish I could have come.    Was in Front Royal for kids lacrosse games all day.   How was the meet?

I had a good time....decent prices on runnable PostWar and low end Modern era stuff. Not a lot of new stuff with high end electronics.

 

I saw Forum member John Pignatelli. About a half dozen of our modular group members were there.

It was a nice show, meet Mr. Greenberg himself,. nice fellow.  The Good Doctor was on the prow for some special items, it was all good.
