I picked up a little Marx set and decided to clean it up a bit. Finished with the cars I opened up the loco and found a loose headlight wire. Where would it attach??

I believe it should be soldered to the riveted strip that runs from the frame along the smoke unit.
To a place that is "hot" to the center rail.
Some of the 666's came with the wire soldered to the bus strip, others like yours have to 90 degree bend with a hole, kind of like a fahnstock clip. I usually replace the wire with some super flex wire. That older wire gets stiff and is hard to reinstall sometimes.

Thanks Steve, this is my first Marx and once cleaned up will probably go on a shelf in the office, with an occasional run on the rails!
