Not sure about the hobby shops in town but Lunch at California Dreaming is worth the trip. The restaruant is housed in the former Southern Railway Union Station and sit on the Norfolk Southern "R" Line.  There's also the Blue Marlin Steak and Seafood Restaraunt which was the former Seaboard Airline Station that was used by Amtrak untill the late 1980's when the new  line was moved  just west of the old Seaboard Mainline. The new Amtrak station is located on Pulaski St both NS and CSX has a double track main by the station but only CSX will run it trains by the station platform since it's their line that the Sliver Star will use.
