Any sightings of the Lionel NS southern heritage engine?

I actually saw 2 NS diesels last week headed by a heritage unit in Nickle Plate livery crossing Grandby/Church st near Norfolk...very cool.

Are you referring to the Lionel version or the actual NS version?  Even though the Lionel shipping schedule no longer has them listed I checked with Brian at Legacy Station and he has not received them yet.  I got the N&W and Central of Ga Heritage units this week.

Yes the Lionel version of the NS ES44AC, my mistake for not making it more clear in my post.

I talked with legacy station yesterday the 23rd and was told they had shipped my two engines (both N&W) to me on the 20th.  I'm hoping they get here today.

here are my Norfolk southern ES44's.  I do not care for the "new" coupler/truck arraignment even on 0-72 they are at their limit.

I have the Nickel Plate Road. I have seen the Penn, Central of Georgia and the Norfolk Southern. I did not know the Conrail was available yet until I saw the video here. I have not seen the Southern that you are looking for. Hopefully soon.

Just noticed a dealer in Ohio has a Southern RR ES44 listed on eBay now, but the photo is just the catalog illustration.  So they must be working there way thru Lionel's mysterious distribution channel as we speak.

I just got the Southern RR ES44AC today. I had both road #'s ordered but still waiting on #8099.

In the last few days I have begin to wonder when Southern, cab #8099 would ship.  However, today I saw 1st one posted on ebay.  So, they must be arriving at dealers now and I assume for those of us that pre-order it should see them soon.  The pictures of the one on ebay look nice.  Ken

I got word today from the Hobby Shop I pre-ordered my Southern, Cab #8099 ES44 is in and I should get it next week.  I assume Lionel only sent partial shipment of them back in January.  For those that are waiting for yours or planning on buying one, I expect you should see more of them on dealers shelves very soon.
