Any suggestions for economical rattle can paints that are close to Pullman green paint? I am looking to paint up some MTH passenger cars into the Conrail Executive scheme.

Ahem... yes I am fully aware of the MTH sets- however the dome and some cars were ribbed sided while the MTH sets were Smooth sided.

Bummer! Now I need to obtain the MTH Conrail executive set and find out what I am dealing with!

Get those MTh cars and take one of them to your local Dupont paint store.. they can computer match it.. They will put a computer paint match camera on top of one of those passanger cars roof and take a pic of it.. it will make a paint formula to match that paint to the T! Plus they can put that into a spray can forum...I know what im talking about because I paint cars for aliving for 33+years and know the tricks of the trade..Dont use  Floquil .. they dont match worth a darn..to me most of these hobby paint dont match.. Had to paint front of my 3rd rail PRR S1 duplex.. Floquil was to dark.. Took my tender to my local dupont paint store and they match it to the T!!Took my train the the store and the guys where blown away in how I'd painted it.. couldnt tell that I'd blended the paint!..That why I use automotive paint on my hobby stuff.  you get better matching and durability with using automotive paints.Heck thats what train companys use on there trains, why not do the same,if you want it to match..
