Does anyone know when the 2017 MTH Ready to Run catalog will come out?

Yes, someone knows.
Im pretty sure they come out the same week as the York train meet
If memory serves, in years past the R-T-R catalog was released in February then the "Volume 2" of that year was released in April, which yes, I thought was the York show month.
Still haven't heard anything about any of the MTH catalogs yet. Any updates?
MTH Said they will release it at York. Apparently this will be the "new normal".
MTH is still going to do the catalog but aren't making anymore sets with transformers. Reason why is the government wants all transformers to have switches to turn them off while plugged in. They still sell the sets they made before government mandates took effect but now as you saw in the last R-T-R catalog you have to build your own train.
I am against over reg. But this cut off switch might be a good idea to prevent fires while nobody was there. It should be little cost to put this into power supplies. Was this order one of those last minute things, or did the importers have time to make the change in the power packs?
Odd, my 12 V DC supplies I use for ham radio have such a switch.
DOE External Power Supply Requirements, Effective February 21, 2016
and you will see why MTH will no longer include power supplies with their starter sets.
I must be missing something here, the latest R-T-R catalog is out and MTH is selling starter sets with transformers included. This would also include new sets that they haven't issued before so they must new releases and not old stock.
I also googled the aforementioned item in the previous post and couldn't locate exactly why MTH would have to stop including power supplies with their sets.
Can someone please clarify?
Thanks!

The fact that the new RTR catalog has starter sets with power supplies tells me that this was a false rumor. I only presented a plausible reason why MTH would not want to include power supplies. The above new DOE requirement could possibly require redesign of the old power supplies in order to be compliant. Perhaps MTH found a way to comply, by employing full voltage to the track (no track voltage controller). Or, maybe this was just a rumor (no power supplies included in RTR sets) taken out of context. That is, there isn't a track voltage controller anymore, not that there isn't a power supply.

So where did your information come from? In the future, you might want to attribute where your facts come from so people can evaluate its veracity.
