Anybody buy from Western Depot?

Sales, yes. Maybe 15% off at most.
Full retail...because, they have it. If you want it that bad and can't find anywhere else...and have to have it so bad...price is overlooked.

They are very nice to deal with.

Good and reliable folks, but be aware that they have a policy of non-refundable deposits. 

 

READ their sales policy carefully!

Their prices are very high, so I've only purchased from them when they were having really big sales. When I have done business with them, they have been prompt, reliable, and pleasant. 

For Tinplate 15% off is 50% more than anyone else. They seem to inventory everything that was ever made.

 

Is MSRP etched in stone or do you ask for the everyday street price which in new Tinplate is about 10%.

I've dealt with them several times. Never a problem.

No problems ordering from them. Good inventory just expect to pay a little more.

I have dealt with Western Depot numerous times over the years, mostly for hard-to-find Williams products.  Good folks to deal with.

I just ordered two Lionel 14151 dwarf signals from them---should be here early this week.

These signals are tough to find---they had them.

 

Very helpful over the phone---I felt comfortable dealing with them.

 

I'll follow up when I receive the signals.

One purchase for me with no problems.

That's for sure. Train stores are few and not nearly as big as many of those back east. Also, tin is not a major part of the locals business.

I've been very happy buying from Western Depot, here are two reasons to check them out:

- Specials!  On their home page, find the link to Specials in the left-hand column -- not the ones for "Weekly Specials" or "Advertised Specials" -- just the word "Specials", right above "Newest Products".  You'll find lots of items at 25% or more off.  A few months ago I got the MTH repro of the Lionel 46 Crossing Gate at 50% off.

- K-Line!  Western Depot was a big K-Line dealer, and they still have quite a lot of old stock.
