Forum member @MHK58 built this mount for his 2500s....

Horizontal DZ2500 Mount

Has anyone created a mount similar to this with a 3D printer? There is a Rix Rax horizontal mount but according to this thread it works for dz1000s but not for 2500s. I have used the Rix Rax vertical mount in the past but now I need horizontal mount due to a lower level.

thanks for any advice

I have 50 dz2500s from my first layout. I chose that motor can be commanded by my cab2. How do you throw tortoise machines with a cab2...ASC2?

ASC2 or the SC2.  You'll be happier long run with the Tortoise switch machines.  I also went with the DZ-2500 because of the TMCC compatibility.  However, since I had to run wire to every switch location anyway, I could have had the Tortoise machines anyway.

3D print of a DZ2500C under table mount would be simple design and print.

BETTER this is a model of a dwarf  SL signal that is mountable over a DZ2500C.

the head swivels  at the base so signal can be aligned as necessary.

designed for 3 color LED that can be controlled  with a Atlas Signal circuit or a DZ-1008 or other relay.

Again, only printable with a FormLabs 3+ printer.

So not in the repository to ameliorate the possible frustrations if using this design file with a different printer.

However, I need to revise it usingdwarf and double dwarf SL signalsdbl dwarf assembly a more detailed dwarf signal design. My latest design removed the base wiring slot that was present in the Custom Signals design. These would be re-mounted on the DZ-2500C cover above.

The original idea came because I could not see the LEDs on the DZ-2500Cs from a distance.

If you have to have these ugly black boxes at each turnout why not make them nice.

Lipstick on a pig approach!

So it looks like it can be either a single or dual head device. Pretty nice as is! I wonder if it would be printable on a Saturn resin printer? This printer has quite high resolution (4K) and handles fine details really well. My old Mars (2K) would not have done a good job I don't think.

It looks like that would make a quite nice stand-alone signal too!

An stl file is an stl file whether it's printed on a formlabs printer or not. I have taken many files designed for resin and printed them on an fdm printer.

If do not want to share it just say that.

I love your work but the fact you think formlabs is the only 3d printer that can print it, is absurd.
