Hi John • If you are having computer chaos, just post the link and see if that works. The web master is good at fixing errors.
that is how I am getting it to work
It works • Well done video.
I just tried to post a video in the "Lionel AEM7?" thread, and what I found is when I clicked on the blank to paste in the URL, the browser tried to auto-complete it with an URL from a photo I had previously copy/pasted from an earlier thread (maybe because the photo link starts with OGR's "ogrforum.ogaugerr.com..." domain).
The YouTube URL was there after I hit 'paste' but it got replaced with the photo URL (auto-complete) when I hit TAB to display the embed. I was puzzled at the error till I went back to edit and my photo of the DCS ES44 popped up in the blank where the video should have been.
So don't hit TAB-just ENTER and it should skip the browser's attempt to be helpful

I gave up trying to embed some You tube videos. It posts a whole copy of the OGRF page I'm trying to post on instead of the you tube video.
It's really very simple to embed video files.
First, copy the URL of the Youtube video file, here's the example.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?...re=player_detailpage
Next, click on the icon in the toolbar.

did it again here, still won't work
JohnS, there is something wrong with that video on YouTube. It won't play there either.
Rich, his videos have no video ID. Here's his.

John, the issue is something happening when you copy the URL.
My Photobucket video's will not work.
I never had much luck with Photobucket video, so I use YouTube. Usually, the updates were so slow that I finally gave up at times.
I used the url from the share box and it still will not work. this is the url from the topaddress bar and it works.
I tried this video from the share box and it does work. is this a youtube issue?

I could get the Photobucket video's to work using the WYSIWYG key that is no longer available.
Works using the HTML button far, far right on the tool bar. I click to HTML, insert the Photobucket URL and then hit update.
John, I just left click on the video itself and do a copy of the video URL. If you don't see something like the following characters somewhere in the YouTube URL, it's not going to work. The ones you posted were missing the video ID.

I'm not having any issues posting videos, something may have changed in your configuration.
thanks John, funny how it only happens on certain videos.
