for this? it goes over the rivet or screw that holds the truck to a flat car.
this picture is the bottom.
just need a part number. this one came off of a 6-16325 flat car - micro ex ramp car.

Is that the thing on the end that the canister mounts to?
If so, the part is unique to the Micro Racer car. And as far as I know, the part number wasn't ever released because they weren't ever sold by the Service Department.

could be. I posted all the info we could find. we found the flat car with out anything on it.
the cap looks cool if mounting things over the truck and you do not want to interfere with the mount.
wonder if it could be made in a 3-D printer?

Lionel used that base to mount a standard gondola canister -- it's a press fit to the canister base.
No reason why it couldn't be 3-D printed, but you'd need to get someone to draw it in a 3-D modeling program first.
