My Strasburg excursion passengers just have to contend with the Nicolas Smith Strasburg 10-Wheeler until #90 arrives.
@MartyE posted:Well if arrives in Concord on 12/31/2022 it could very well be on the water now depending on times with port congestion. In reality it will get here when it gets here. Lionel, MTH, and the others really are at the mercy of so many unplanned factors. We could complain but there is nothing they can do.
Class A shows a ship date of 12/13/2022
I do recall my local train dealer had said that one of the MTH boats sat for several months at least more than five years ago(maybe 8). Everything was supposed to be out in time for Christmas but it finally got out of the port sometime in April. Lionel had a similar situation as well a few years back. Yeah, these things do happen, and there is little control over any of it.
We will just have to wait and see who gets theirs first and pops a review/video on this topic, so we can all marvel at it.
duh...What is a #90?

It's the one that came right before #91!

And here I thought it was my score at miniature golf on the very first hole. #90 is a legend over at Strasburg. Google that and then say "oh", or not say anything if your not impressed.
That's the paint scheme I ordered! I just hope its performance is as good as its appearance in the picture.
Ship date on the Lionel Store website said 12/20/2022 up until today, nothing is there now... Potential good news that it has arrived in Concord NC?

Or that the container fell off the ship!
Charles Ro's website is still showing Feb. 2023.
2 10 0 is delayed till March according to latest news from Mr. Muffin.
Hopefully the additional delay is because they truly are making the effort to get this item right the first time. There has been much discussion and anticipation re: #90, so this is a big opportunity for Lionel to re-gain the confidence of their customers by ensuring that this loco is done right.
@Dave Olson Would Lionel be able to put out an updated shipping schedule reflecting the latest 90 updates?
MTH puts one out biweekly. The last time the schedule on Lionel's website was updated was March 22 2022.

Have you taken a look at the Lionel Store website to see the shipping info for any particular item you have on order? That is your best bet of finding accurate estimated shipping dates.
As I said in a different discussion, Lionel has not updated the shipping schedule in a while. I think a more accurate date is to go onto Charles Ro's site and see what they say as the expected delivery date.
I hope that those of you who ordered one are rewarded before too long. Strasburg 90 is a sharp-looking engine, and would look good on any model railroad.
Several years ago, Stan Kistler and I took a road trip to Kansas for the first trip of Santa Fe 4-6-2 3415 on the Abilene & Smoky Valley. En route, we wandered all over, between Greeley and Loveland, Colorado, where Great Western 90 once roamed. Stan had visited and photographed the railroad in the mid-1950's when the GW was all steam and the UPRR still had a steam powered local which set out cars for the GW and made a pickup on the return leg to Greeley. He found many locations where he had taken photos with his Speed Graphic 4x5 camera.
She was once a hard worker, and I would have loved to see the 90 hauling heavy beet trains on the undulating Great Western, but hope to be able to settle for a ride behind her on the Strasburg this year.

Please refer to my comment yesterday - Lionel Store previously said 12/20 but now does not display any date
Lionel Store website now says 5/31.
Once again, all good waits come to those with things.
Paul
I just got an email from Charles Ro; they're still saying February.
Anyone heard anything on this engine?
I've added this to another topic in the Shipping Schedule column, but Lionel's Store website says these are scheduled to release in July. I have a good feeling this is at best right now, though.

Lionel Store Website has "expected ship date" of 7/14... do we know if that's the day it ships from overseas, the day it arrives at Lionel, or the day it ships from Lionel to the dealers?
I wouldn't hold your breath for 7/14...both Charles Ro and Trainworld had a release date in April, but that's obviously not happening. Very frustrating as I think this engine will be fantastic, but more importantly its tied up $1800 worth of train funds for me for the last 2 years! If I had known this engine was going to be pushed back so long I would've grabbed a vision line Class A. I wish Lionel could provide an update on what is going on...it's going to be 2 years this July since its been announced!
