In particular, I was wondering if it tended to track well, notwithstanding the limited number of drivers. Thank you.

Thanks again for the favourable responses. The Union Pacific version of the LionChief Plus A5 has arrived. It looks great, and all of the features work well. To quote Dan, above, "I have one and I love it !"
The conventional only version of these are also quite nice. I've got a SP "Daylight" A5 that is a frequent runner - good sounds, nice puffer smoke, glass smooth runner. Very happy with it. Never got the LC+ variation, never saw the need for two of the same engines (yet I've got 16 F-units.....). Maybe I'll grab a B&O one day.
at last- a Lionchief plus A5 video made by someone who knows how to run trains at prototype speeds. Simply the best. Thank you.
