Hi all. Sorry if this has been asked before:

Have you run an Atlas 4-axle 3-rail diesel, like the U23B or C424, around an O-31 curve? I know they list O-36 as a minimum, but maybe that's only because it won't clear O-31 switches? My smallest switch is a Gargraves O-42, but I have some smaller curves (actually Gargraves O-32 sectional.)

Again, I know what the "official" minimum is, but I'd like to know if anyone has run these engines through anything smaller. Don't worry, I won't rat you out.

Thanks,

Alan P

One possible reason for listing it as needing 036 curves is the switches made by most companies except Gargraves & Ross(Gargraves and Ross switches have the motorized unit on the side of the switch and doesn't interfere with any car or engine) that have the switch mechanisms right next to the curve track and the engine would derail from the track.
