Sylvia and I used to use Minolta auto-focus cameras and between us probably have about $1500 of auto-focus lenses not to mention all sorts of close up lenses and filters.  I noticed tonight that American Express Rewards on-line catalog includes the Sony A55 camera.  We've been thinking of buying a pair of A55 cameras since all our Maxxum-compatible auto-focus lenses will work with it.

Is anyone using a Sony A55 who could share some thoughts on how it is for general photography (e.g., sightseeing, railfanning, taking photos of your layout, etc.)?  Anyone have any photos taken with an A55 that they could post here?

Thank you!

Sounds like the A55 is in good company.

You can go to flicker.com and enter Sony A55 'subject' and it will show you all kinds of pictures taken by the A55.
