Are parts available for 6-81952 072 remote/command switches?

If this is a command switch you may need more than 12 volt. Command stuff usually runs at 18 volt.

Here is the "pie-shaped piece" you are looking for.  It's available for $3.  The DC switch motor is no longer available.

Do you have the ability to provide separate accessory power to the switches instead of using track power?

Thanks Ron, however the switch is meant to run in a command or conventional environment, so theoretically it should run at just about 8 volts, as do my other command switches.

Thank you, sir! I will order some today, however I would like to know where you came upon the part number? Back before Lionel changed out their website, in particular the parts portion, it was quite easy to find. With this new system, I can find the switch, but I can't find any reference to any parts whatsoever. So, what are you "clicking" on that I am not?

However, OK, use the name of what you are looking for not the product number.

Then pick one with a parts listing. Lionel kept the same basic mechanics in Fastrack switches. Yes, electronics are different but the mechanical parts are compatible. https://www.lionelsupport.com/...ol-RH-Switch-6-16827

I watched a Lionel/Mike Reagan video on switches and he stated the Fastrack switches have DC regulators that control the DC to the motor at 5 VDC over the range of inputs (8 - 18 VAC).   If that bit of the electronics is the problem then new motors and gears may not be your solution.   You might want to consider swapping a motor driver board from a good switch to a bad switch to rule out the board.  

If you don't want to pull apart one of your good switches then you could simply measure the DC voltage going to the switch stand copper rails (blue and green wires).

Thank you much, Vernon! Odd that a system can find something by a description, product number or part number, odder still that there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason as to which one will work - sometimes all three, sometimes only one.

Just to put a cap on this, I examined the gear teeth with a handheld microscope sort of thingy, originally intended to look at phonograph needles. I could see damage to the gear teeth on the motor. Now that I know the part numbers for the segment gear and the motor, it was pretty easy to find them both on Trainz, Both items were listed as NEW, so I'll see what I get in a couple of days.

And a note to Steims, before I bought the segment gear and motor I measured the voltage and it read 4.91 volts at the motor terminals - motor was detached, couldn't really test under a normal load since it was jamming.
